Project Details
For this project, our customer asked specifically for a two-tone kitchen using on-trend colors such as White Shaker for the uppers and a custom, Cobalt Blue for the base cabinets.
If you’ve shopped around for blue cabinets, you’ll come to find that there are very slim pickings unless you opt for a custom paint which MTD Kitchen was able to provide (given an additional 2 weeks).
For the countertops, they chose to go with a Calacatta Alaska Slab which is 123″ by 63″ (3 pieces) and our fabricators ensured bookmatch accuracy. (see photo)

Additional Upgrades
There was also a lot of custom work that needed to be done which included:
- a custom cut for the farmhouse sink
- a full backsplash to match the countertops
- modification cabinet depths
- modified toe kicks for ventilation because our client wasn’t able to relocate the ventilation
- producing a custom corner cabinet with 4 doors and angled shelving
